This has low stat requirements and is typically a must pick up as it will be your first decent weapon.....
Piercer from the Executioner depending on how you deal with paying your debt to the miller...
If you resolve this quest with a little brute force and Knock out the executioner and take his things you can get this fine Longsword, however you may not yet have the stats for it....
Lord Capons Bow if you beat Lord Capon in training....
This is a very stat friendly bow that does nearly the same or more power then bows that require much more strength and agility.... Which means you can fire it faster. As the closer you are to the bare requirements of a bow the slower you fire each arrow....
Also the Burghers shortsword and the merchants longsword are fairly common earlier game drops so it shouldnt be that hard to pick of of these up and they can server you well till you start finding the late game equipment....
Honestly I typically get told bye the guard when I pick up my kit that I am already as geared as any vassal but he hands me the kit anyway whcih I end up selling because I am always more geared then the kit lol.....
I would expect a classy guy like Sir Radzig to take one look at my padded gambison and say: "Someone in my service should bear my colors and be armed as such. Have yourself outfitted at the armory."
But so far, nothing like that has come up. He did give a chunk of money after returning to Neuhof, but surely his own armoury would have a "set" for men of my rank.
I just stole some off the easy bandits you have to kill in one of the early quests, I beat Lord Capon in the archery contest and got his bow and I picked herbs and sold them and used the money to buy a nice-ish longsword. The rest of my gear is what I stole from the armoury when you have to find a way out of the castle to go and bury your parents very early in the game.
The knights and nobility provided their own gear because they had the money and servants to be able to do so. The rank and file weren't expected to provide their own (though they could buy and supplement their kit if they had the money, or loot it from dead enemies on the battlefield).
In that sense it is quite realistic so far. When Radzig accepts Henry into his service he gives him some basic armour, just like a peasant would have been given if his lord conscripted him into the army. "Here's a basic spear and shield and a padded jacket, go fight my enemies". Henry can then loot better armour from dead enemies, or purchase it himself.
he does, after the quest in which you hunt with capon .
you get a skalitz waffenrock after the cutsceen at the end of this mission, i get one every time and i did it more than once so far. The skalitz colors are his colors since he is the ruler of skalitz and all his soldiers wear this colors.
EDIT: i just made the mission with my newest playthrough i started yesterday and i again got a short skalitz waffenrock just like everytime i have done the mission so far.
So Radzig would be like I have this new guy I feel special about and he needs some better gear.... Call for my Blacksmith.... Blacksmith "Henry please make some decent gear and then give it to youself" That is all....
"Do you have a daddy issues?"
That's exactly what I thought about Lord Capon when I first met him. Now I can't get enough of the guy.
the only thing i recomend buying is a sword called ''saving grace'' i carried it practically from the start untill i happened upon a much better one.
Get the quest from the lord of Ratay (I forgot his name, the fat guy who's sat at the table with Radzig in the cut scene earlier) to deal with the vicar. You get a nice longsword and around 500 groschens for your trouble... and you don't even have to kill anybody for the quest (unless you choose to).
