Weeds quest failed

Nicodemus asks me to get the weeds out of his garden, I have removed all nettles thistles and dandelions and nothing tells me that I have not finished. Is it a bug?
Please help me!

If I remember right, you just have to go back, tell him that you are finished, and he will check the garden.

did you remove those that were close to the garden as well? cause he does state that they shouldn't be anywhere near the garden or anywhere. I would also go back to the garden and look again. then go straight back to him cause if you wait more then a day. they grow back and you fail.

Once you think you're done, go talk to him. The game will not tell you when you've accomplished this. It is possible to fail it (either by picking too many/any of the wrong thing, or leaving anything behind).

It is definitely a bit tricky. Time is also important. Don't pick everything and then go off and do something else. The weeds may grow back.

Ok spent a good couple hours on this one quest alone and here is my summary:

Tested with multiple reloads prior to starting the quest, and in the middle of the quest. I was significantly failing a lot, and believe this was due to picking thistle, nettle, and dandelions OUTSIDE of the two designated gardens. DO NOT PICK THESE IN THE GARDENS NEARBY (I.E the Comprey garden). It is my understanding that the game treats this as an 'incorrect' picking of the wrong herb (as if you had picked a mint or Eyebright). Once I took this in mind, I re-attempted the quest and got flying colours from Nicodemus, stating he could not have done better himself.

Despite what others are saying in this thread about "making sure you pick everything around and nearby for good measure" I believe this is what is causing a lot of people to fail this quest.

ONLY PICK THE NETTLE, THISTLE, AND DANDELIONS IN THE "MINT" AND "EYEBRIGHT" PORTIONS OF THE GARDEN.

Then you spent a "good couple hours" wasting your time, it isn't that complex. Sorry but should be finished and successful in maybe 5 minutes, tops, seriously... I did it just last month on first play through myself so fresh in my mind.

It's definitely an easily breakable quest, and here's why. First off, if you pick the weeds outside of the gardens, that's counted as wrong, which isn't specified in the quest so you kind of have to fail and try again to figure it out. The problem is that if your herbalism skill is high, you pick all of the same plant within a certain radius. So if you grab a nettle within the bounds, the area around you might automatically pick nettle that's not within the bounds. If you try to stay in the middle to avoid the area of effect going outside the bounds but you miss one close to the end, you can't get it without getting the wrong ones. It's not a bug per-se, and it works when your herbalism skill is low, but it's almost certainly broken at higher skill levels.
