It still doesn't explain the fact that if I load a save, I can play for a little bit and not have the jail icon at all. I can walk around in Rattay just fine, says I have no crimes committed. The jail icon will just show up randomly. I would think if I was actually caught committing the crime, it would immediately notify me that I have been caught and the jail icon would appear immediately. This is not the case. The only time the jail icon seems to appear is after a cutscene or loading screen.
It sounds like the whole crime/punishment system in this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and does not work very well.
realy the game is UnPlayable at this level, cause the Jail Icon appears and the guards tells you "carrying a dead body" when nothing... I tried to redone the mission 4 times with differents ideas, like Carry the body to other part and let him and killing but the same... after Sleep or after the day past the Jail Icon appears for Rattay, I can not pass the mission ... Annoying
Saved some Traders from bandits and they just sat there afterwards so I left walking (overbudened) and a few minutes later, no matter what I get this Jail icon.
Save, reload, doesn't matter, I'm wanted everywhere now.
Skirmish locations with traders and guards can become buggy.
Often in these situations, someone from one side, either bandit or trader, will surrender to the opposing side.
A "surrender" actually causes that individual to become a "non-combatant" and almost friendly to the other side, however, the surrendered party may still not be on Henry's side.
If the surrendered party is a bandit, then killing this bandit is viewed as a crime because they already surrendered (and were considered friendly with guards or traders)
One bug occurs when this surrendered bandit attacks Henry, and Henry is still viewed as committing a crime when he defends himself.
Another bug occurs when a surrendered Trader or Guard views the Bandits as friends, and thus Henry's attack and killing of the bandits is viewed as a crime (by the surrendered "good guy"), even if Henry saves other guards or traders. It's bugged
And the delay, from the skirmish event to the crime being reported, was just the game giving the traders time to get to a guard to report the crime.
Basically, just another reason to install a save mod, and save early and often:

And sorry to others for supporting a necro post. Hopefully this new post is answered.
