Rattay doesn't have one that sells horses apparently so you have to go north east to a place, because progressing too far in the story can change some things dramatically like turning the town into ruin so you can't trade in it anymore.
In Skalit prologue you will have access to traders with mid-game gear actually, but since you can't pass time you can't sell stolen goods.
It could be possible to get certain items to help you early in the game without ruining certain area with the incoming 'war' of the main quest.
they still sell horses from there after it's raided
but if the horses are the same every round which I don't know if they're, but if they're don't buy the teir 5 there, there is a better teir 5 at the town below sir radizig's camp (just make sure you go thier and buy it before you attack the bandit encampment (quests line)
Oww almost there, it seems I need to kill more bandits.
You know you get a free horse given to you as part of the main quest, right? It's fairly soon after you get to Rattay.
But if i have alrdy a t5 horse, what's gonna happen? Can i refuse quest one and keep my horse?
Apparently if you already have a horse, it doesn't transfer ownership of Pebbles. You keep your other horse. You still need to at least mount Pebbles to continue the quest, as far as I have found online.
