Yellow dot for lock picking
It's stopped showing up. I can open locks still, but the yellow dot does NOT show up, making it impossible to beat even very easy locks with just one lock pick.

This is what I see too. I never even saw it on the first lock you pick...

I saw it in the tutorial area but now I've arrived at Rattay I can no longer see it. :(

the strange thing for me is, i can still pick locks without any more trouble than with the yellow ball xD

Is the thing youre trying to pick too high a level? From what I can tell, if you dont have the lockpicking skill to pick a certain lock it will let you try but it will not assist you with the yellow icon.

The missing sweet spot yellow ball is a bug and it seems to work after you restart the game, which of course with the saving system isn't really a good workaround. Hopefully they will fix that. And yeah, I actually found it somewhat easier to open a chest without the sweet spot indicator :)

^ Yeah I'm sure. I tried even the 'very easy' locks around the mill in Rattay and nothing is showing up.

^ Sorry broseph - I've had no luck restarting the game. It's not there in any of my saves now. I'm guessing I'd have to start over.

+1 - same for me I don´t see the yellow dot, even on easy chests. Restart doesn´t help, So yeah nice I´m stuck

Same for me. No locks are working for me anymore. Just when i was finally getting the hang of it too

I emailed Warhorse support. They're aware of the issue and are actively working on it.

Or perhaps I'm spending my time actually in game between working hours, rather than reading through threads that 95% of the time doesn't answer my question, hence why opening my own thread is both quicker and easier. What does it matter to you anyway?

So you could have just not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ commented on this thread, since you clearly have no input of any value here. I don't need your passive aggressive stinking attitude in here; do one.

Just saying. We’ve been swamped with people all saying the same things when one thread at the top of page 1 addresses a few of them on post 1 made directly by the developers.

Who emails a developer on the first week of release because of a bug? We have a thread for it. They made a thread to remind you they’re working. They even said “we hear you”.

I just recognize the entitled generations methodology. Rather than be still about something to get an idea of the situation, they act with haste and ignorance because there is no time to think things through!

I’m sorry I upset you though. Use of the word “ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ “ really set you off and I apologize. I tend to cuss like a sailor

It's not your use of profanity that "set me off" it's your condescension and false sense of unapologetic, self-inflated superiority; you continue it still in your most recent reply with the use of the word "we" as if to segregate me from those you consider modest, unentitled individuals (read: those that leave a meaningless, vague post on a thread hundreds of pages long and not very concise where Warhorse are concerned).

If you looked on the OFFICIAL forums on Warhorse's actual website - which, if you're a backer, then you and I both have had access to for years, you'd notice that the support staff there are pro-actively pointing people with bug reports and issues to a support email address which I used.

It's not as if I haven't done any research on the bug - it's just that I've done none on Steam, primarily because it's full of utter drivel that I - and people suffering with the same bug - simply don't need. Steam simply isn't a first port of call for me, especially so for this game.

I turned up almost empty where research on this particular issue is concerned so alongside the email address I was directed to (by Warhorse support staff through a forum more accessible and 'reference-able' for them, lets not forget) I decided to open a thread here to see actually how many others were suffering with the same bug.

If anyone still have this problem then restarting your PC seems to work for now.
