Just for anyone else who has trouble with him no longer saying the rhyme that you need (I accidentally messed the mission up a tad), here it is for ya'll.

I hate to "cheat" in missions in a game like this, but I figure if it helps someone who gets in a similar pickle it's worth it!

it seems randomized because I tried your version and he didn't like it. I can't get the blacksmith to sing for me so it's yet another broken quest in this game. The Lost in Translation quest is also broken, the cuman won't talk to me no matter what I do. Getting really bored of all the unresolved quest problems.

Between "The sun may burn..." and "The Sun he hides..." you have to remember to point out that it it was the end of the first tempering and not just keep going with the rhymes :)

I thought I had the same problem, but it turns out that the mission text is right. When I waited outside the house limits I could here him chanting the ditty through the fence.

Yeah, he did the same for me but then stopped before after a little while and didn't continue, so I figured for anyone else in the same pickle...

The dumb part is when you listen it doesn't even remember it in your quest log, it just repeats again and you keep listening over and over.

He stops singing the chant when you are in within his sight after you talk to him about it - the quest isn't bugged. You never get an actual quest update for it so you either have to write it down yourself or go to a website that lists the lines - or I suppose memorize it if have to be a purist about it.

I just went to the side of the house and stood on the woodpile at the corner(technically I was still inside his work area inside the fence) and could see the text again and hear the chant again. As already said, just outside the fence should work too.
