Saddlebags/Horse Storage.. Where do you get it?

Been looking all over, no luck. Everything is so heavy, it sucks only carrying stuff on your person.

Anyone know where to get saddlebags?

I personally used the horse merchant in Uzhitz, but i'd wager any horse merchant sells them.

+1 there are 2 horse merchant towns and couple of horse merchants in bigger towns

Horse merchants sell the saddles. You're looking for one with more bags on it. Also different horses have different stats, one of which is carry capacity. I use Sleipnir which you can get from Uzhitz for around 2k. Him and a fine saddle with 4 bags gives him 416 carry weight.

I didn't even realise you could buy a saddle bag
.. As soon as I got my horse I had to option of transferring items to him, so is that a bug or are you referring to getting even more space? Think he has 150 by default. Just gotta select something in inventory and look at the bottom, says what button to transfer. Then they appear in the horse tab. This happened by default for me on 2 separate saves with no mods and no saddle bags bought

You can't buy saddle bags, you can buy different saddles that have saddle bags attached to them.

Do the side quest for Zora at Nerhoff stud farm that was destroyed and you did the Find Ginger quest. Go back to Nerhoff and talk to her ask how things are going and she is struggling to sell horses since her husband died you offer to help and she gives you horse to race for her at Talmberg. Win that race she will award you a good saddle with better storage.

As you progress and increase your stats you get perks as well for your horse the more you ride him. Upgrade the horse.

Kind of correct thought. I assumed Pebbles stats were just that. But now I notice you can buy saddlebags (+1 or +2) and wonder what that means. Does than mean a horses stats change with the bags or that I should get a better horse and put the better bags on him?

Saddles with additional saddlebags add extra capacity to horse inventory depending on saddle's quality and the number of saddlebags
