Hunting = Stealing?

I don't know why, but when i hunt venison and rabbit, the meat is labeled as stolen.

Probably cause its not hunting but poaching,you can only really sell it when someone asks you to get it i guess

This was reported so many times that dev's will likely fix this, seems to be a bug for everyone.

You can not hunt in King's land, it is punishable crime. But you can always sell it to a shady miller.

The land and all the animals that live upon it belong to that regions lord and only approved hunstmen can hunt them. You are basically stealing from the lord when you hunt.

might be as well a part of realism. Animals in forest are not for free. Killing them without permission was considered stealing. It still is even today.

I have not tested it myself but I read in a few posts that if you cook the meat it will lose the stolen status.

go to any fireplace and cook it. then it will not be stolen anymore. made 2000 groschen this way.

All questions like that make me think if people do not want to use the codex or are to cool for it. The codex is awesome and there is many intersting information in it also explains game mechanics and rules, but hey why read in it when i can ask in the forum.
