What's up with graphics? Bad?
Ok, so im not a graphics ***** or very tech savvy but something seems off about the graphics and I don't unerstand what it could be. They seem to be really good for things like peoples faces and stuff but overall just seem kind of...dated, meh. I'm playing on very high(i think its called, the second highest setting) but I turned textures up to max. Is it he animation? I'm coming from assassins creed origins and the people in that game just seemed much smoother and realistic and better looking. Voice syncing in this game could use some work for sure.

I'm just wondering if theres any settings I could tweak to have good graphics, I dont even know what most the graphics settings do honestly but if I could keep atleast 40fps I'd be happy.

Environment, houses everything looks beautiful, Nothing seems dated really. Is the game maxed out?

The houses seem like they aren't textured fully. Like in the opening game where you wake up in your house, look at the walls and ceiling, it seems dated but I have textures set to max! Idk what to do the screenshots on steamstore page seem much better. Ill take some screen shots so other people can compare to their graphics. Maybe it's on my end, I hope.

it takes ages for textures to load in this ♥♥♥♥, even with new hard drive

thats the CryEngine for you. Thats this games downfall, all games that use it 2bh. Its always a mess with performance and visual issues. I really wish the devs used something like Unreal or anything but the CryEngine. AC:O, Witcher 3 with mods, Wildlands etc etc all maxed and getting 60fps on a 980ti. But anything with CryEngine runs badly.

I use 980ti 6gb, no textures are blurred, everything runs great.

This is what the textures look like for me on second highest settings with texture setting set to highest. Is this normal for everyone? It seems pretty badly textured and I also get texture popin.

I'm running an OC'd GTX 970 clocked at about 1490Mhz with everything maxed out and it looks outstanding. I'm getting around 50fps so far, but I haven't done much besides talk to motther and run around the house for a few min. It looks fine to me.

I'll be looking into cfg fixes etc later tonight, where I'm sure itll improve even more.

any ideas

The game is only 34Gb, you can expect everything is 8K textures. Of course some corners are cut. Even Wolf II with 8K textures and 70+GB size still have some lazy textures here and there.
I don't think it would have been very beneficial for the game to have everything with such great detail. As is, most hardware is struggling to stay above 60 fps.

Ditto, plus I'm getting 60 fps.

The lazy textures aren't just here and there tho.. :/

In that first pic there is grass poking through split firewood. All the lumber in towns look like that aka really low res.
