I think the game forces you to lose early a few times which makes it seem realy hard.

The first time I got to fire a bow was in a contest. Needless to say I lost, badly. Then got worked over in the follow up duel.

Fighting 2 vs 1 or more is where things get dicey.

I missed every shot in the practice then beat him 13 to 5 and then beat him in the duel:D that guy was such a nutgobbler

what really triggers me is that I did that whole raid and killed the leader alone and yet I get 0 rewards lol I still have a ♥♥♥♥ ass set of "armor" and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sword.....

I wiped the floor with that guy both in archery and in melee. Especially in melee where I ended the fight with a sweet blow to his unarmored ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ head.
His bow which you get as a prize is quite sweet, but requires a higher agility than I have atm
Fighting multiple opponents is indeed tricky. You need to always keep moving and maneuver in such a way so they don't surround you. If they do that, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ (well even more ♥♥♥♥♥♥)
I think long weapons would be better suited for multiple opponents, but I haven't tried it.

Oh these CoD generation kids. Home task: beat Doom 2 on Nightmare without using mouse (it was done like that back then). That is default difficulty that games should be. Anything harder should be considered delicious challenge.

I suppose I can understand where this guys coming from, we've been conditioned to accept easy games like Skyrim as the norm, then suddenly KC:D comes along, a hardcore game which doesn't hold your hand and suddenly combat actually has a degree of skill involved.

I can already see 'go back to Skyrim' being a cheeky insult to people who can't/wont learn how to play this game.

No its perfect, i was actually starting to think things were getting to easy but now the game is challenging me again, which is awesome.
Xorza Feb 23, 2018 @ 12:15am
The game is so easy that it's not even interesting.

*looks at op, looks at post*

Aww, little kiddie is happy again cause he won.

Hopefully they make the game harder because its soo easy at one point you 1 hit everything.

Kiddos like you with your shi**y I NEED WIN I NEED WIN EZ EZ LOULZ attitude are the reason games suck nowadays.

No, the combat system in this game is beyond ridiculous. I've been "practicing" for hours and hours in the arena outside Rattay, I've trained skills, I've even farmed ♥♥♥♥ and I've found that when it comes to being "good" at the game all you have to do is literally be on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point every strike of the entire fight, otherwise you'll get combo'd once and taken down 2-5 hits afterwards. My point being, this game demands entirely too much in the way of precision out of its players. Its beyond me how I'm suppose to complete a single side mission without reloading a save at least 40 times and you think I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding. Its almost like the game is telling me to calibrate my cursor settings and make sure I'm tilting my head the correct way before I attempt dragging my mouse from one point of the 5 pointed star to another. Jesus ♥♥♥♥. Obviously there are plenty of people out there who are succeeding at this difficulty which lead me to believe I was missing something. Its either that or they're just a bunch of circle jerks who get together and "bro dude difficulty is what makes the game man you "plebs" don't know what you're talking about bruh bruh bruv dude" stfu genericasswannabesuperstar, when less than 20% of your player base is unable to overcome something as rudimentary as a combat system, somethings ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it.

No, when 20% of the player base can't get the hang of KCD combat, it means that 20% of the player base aren't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ smart enough to get the hang of KCD combat.

You're the kind of idiot that expects to be a master at driving the first time he gets in to a car.
It takes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ learn how to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do ♥♥♥♥.

Either learn how to do combat in KCD, or get the ♥♥♥♥ off these forums.
Preferably the latter.

I kept reading all these forums and posts saying Runt was just way to hard. Then i got to the Runt fight and 2 shot him after landing a riposte. I feel robbed.

get good has nothing to do with it - you just need strength at at least 10 and it will be easy
Giblix Feb 23, 2018 @ 1:32am
you don't have to be on point for every point. making my way up to rakkitz after you escaped TAlmberg. The bandits are easy to kill and give decent enough starting gear. You don't need fancy moves to beat them up in 2-3 hits.

When you get too Rattay 1 training session to learn dodge/parry and off I went to hack up some bandits near Neuhof. Bought a dagger and a new sword with high blunt damage and I even took out plated enemies. Got their gear and trolled the rest of game.

You don't have to be on point. Combat is relatively easy enough. Only issue I had was the fist fight vs the drunk. Had no idea how combat worked but after a few tries you get the hang of it and he goes down easy enough.

I find this game quite relaxing to play after a day of hard work. its slow paced and chill to unwind with. Totally different from bullethell games and such which are actually difficult. I also agree with the statement of the person saying Dark Souls is just artificial difficulty. DS1 for example "difficulty" was its slow response time and clunky controls...nothing else.. I enjoy playing such games, but calling them hard ... no. Go play a Devil May Cry, Bayonetta or an average bullethell game. they are much more difficult then a dark souls.

Saying 20% of the playerbase has issues with something and using it as an argument for an indie game is weird. First off stop pulling numbers from your ass. Second indie games cater to a niche audience. Don't like the games such devs make then don't play them. On top of that... Just because the majority of a population likes something, doesn't mean that it is also good. You need to consider the majority of the population are idiots. Idiots just want shallow simple entertainment. There are plenty of products that give such an experience for that kind of people. So stop ruining niche games for people who don't want simple idiotic experiences.

I litteraly accidently 1 shot Runt. He isn't wearing a helmet so any blow/arrow to the head 1 shots him. Kind of lame since they hype him up so much but he can easily be cheesed.
