I noticed some drops, but not that low. Usually to 30. I just assumed they had a 30FPS lock since some games like to do that for cutscenes only for whatever reason.

Its crazy because it doesnt do it with every cutscene.

Also If I tab out the cutscenes go up to 25ish FPS (borderless windowed)

Hi,

i have only 10 Fps at every cutscene... (1080ti)

I think it has to do with the shallow depth of field.

Hay i found setting Shader to Very high & Shadow to high fixed this !! Also make sure that Fullscreen is on as i notised fps drop in borderless, and read the Pined FPS thread.

! Nearly every game i have played has shadow/shader and anti-analising as big fps killers

Same here, get like 20-30 fps during cutscenes, and sadly 5-15 during the destroyed town part (trying not to spoil much). But a nice solid 60 gameplay and during conversations. Granted though there are many cutscenes that aren't cutscenes but are videos, though hard to tell at times unless you see Henry with "clean" clothings.

check if the game goes in borderless. It happens sometimes, when i set again fullscreen i have no fps issues at all, both cutscenes and gameplay (nvidia 1080)

Ok i found the solution, it was gsync/vsync related maxfps bug.

- in-game, make sure to select the Fullscreen display option (so not borderless, or windowed). Now exit the game.
- go to the install directory (by default, this is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance)
- make a new file called user.cfg, place it in the install directory
- open the new file in notepad
- write the following in the file:

r_VSync = 0
sys_MaxFPS = 144

Set the MaxFPS to the rate of your Monitor, like 60, 120, 144, 244 and so on.

Can confirm this works. Radeon RX580 /w freesync@75hz.

can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong for me it is not as it is described, but I am also not sure what is meant by installation directory. Can someone please tell me exactly how and where to do it with the new file.

- right click Kindom Come in your steam library
- go to Manage->Browse local files. A new explorer window should open directly in your game's installation directory.
- right click there (white, empty area) and select new -> Text file (or text document? I have the german version of Windows).
- right click the newly created text file and choose rename. Rename it to "user.cfg" (no quotation marks)
- right click it again and choose "edit". There, enter what Signo Vir stated, choosing your monitor's correct refresh rate instead of 144 (might be 60, 120, 144 or even more, depending on make and resolution).
- Press File->Save.

That's it. Hope this helps.

Can also confirm this was the fix, thanks!
