It's triggered by enemy proximity and appears to be based off stats. Strength I think.
There is a perk you can unlock (strength tree I think. Need to check that.) that gives you +30% to beat your opponent, which is how I came to the conclusion it's a hidden roll on a stat.
After picking that perk I'm now consistently kneeing dudes in the face while clinching. Fist fights just got alot easier.
I may be wrong so feel free to correct me.
So to initiate one, just get close. Since the 'clinch master' skill is in the Strength tab, I'm guessing it's strength that utilizes it.
Just keep walking into them when in combat. (w key) if you're close enough they'll start the clinch. left/right mouse buttons do different moves.
Unarmed combat its the right mouse button to knee them in the face, left just kicks them away from you.
Get someone up against a wall or corner, and you can clinch-knee them in the face, right mouse punch, clinch knee face, right mouse punchm over and over again lol
When you get to the practice arena with bernard, he'll actually quit the practice session if you beat him badly lol
By right mouse hits you mean the heavier attacks? Are these jabs or swings?
