Having Trouble Main Quest "The Prey"

Hans Capon hasn't been back to the camp in two nights...I caught some rabbits, then left for a minute, came back to wait and he's not back. His horse is still here but he is not. Do I just start looking around for the idiot, or what?

what about his dogs? He might have been captured, look around. But be carefull.

I don't know why it's not working for you guys but I rocked up to the camp about 4 hours after noon (the time you're meant to meet him) as I was over-encumbered and walking back... I really wanted to win and had too much hare meat... and Hans was just chilling by the camp fire eating his bacon. Maybe try going for a stroll to the western road and return?

I did this but hes still not there and this game is making me mad rn

If you try to shortcut anything in this game, you can cause unexpected conditions which confuses the game (2001: A Space Odyssey)

I have always hunted rabbits and deer until i get the pop-up that says "go back to camp". Then after reaching camp - i have had to wait an hour once or twice for Hans to show up.

I've played the game over 1200 hours and never had him Not show up, so i don;t know how to help - except maybe try sleeping, which should save your game, and then reload the game ?

If this doesn't help, sorry. The game is a bit sensitive - you need to pay strict attention to everything you are told in the dialogues, and follow them precisely.

And as far as quest markers - well, there are not many. You need to use the Map, and remember what the location looks like on the map, and then find your way there.

In Hardcore, there is no indication of where Henry is on the Map, nor any compass HUD - which makes life more interesting.

Have you checked the beds? I found him sleeping, apparently he sleeps all day... Maybe a bug, I've no idea, so I just went and woke him up lol

walked around for an hour and I found him frozen in place with his dogs -.-

I talked to him and it continued the quest (note this was absolutely not at the camp). Really wish they'd fix this bug 3y after release lol
