Heres how to kill the first cuman

Hit 1 to draw your sword. Hold shift so you sprint/freelook and aim to the cumans right. Youll swing without locking on and hit him. Run away and wait for your stamina to recharge then do it again until he dies. Enjoy free loot. You can do this with the archer that comes after as well to get his bow. Im pretty sure thisll work with every fight too.

nah you just hide in a bush and when he tries to run past, stick your leg out and watch him roll down the hill!

Man! Been trying to do this for hours. Tried the mace and different swords... he kicks my butt quick, fast and in a hurry... I reckon there's a bug fix what sorted this out, eh?

Find some lonely guard in Skalitz in the beginning of the game and rob him of his bow and arrow. Then later shoot the first cuman a few times with the bow, three or four shots should be enough. I had strength on 4 and I stole some armor stuff from the german to be able to get down the guard. (you get the strength from the initial dialog with the mother and then from herbalism lvl 10)

Take a horse and then charge back and fourth and stab the cumans with your sword, ez.
