Catching the nightingale

I got a bit stuck at the quest where u have to catch the 3 nightingales in the wood. How do i catch them? I got the traps in my inventory and found the spots with the sounds but i cant place them

You just have to drop one at the time with holding X.

Drop 'm, then move away and after a while the sound will be gone and they'll have a cloth around them. That means you can pick m up.

Don't leave the area though! I did and one of the traps disappeared.

Same Problem here. I left and now one trap is missing...

same issue, it shows on the map but is not at the marker and no way to interact anywhere near the marker either.

Do it one at a time, drop trap, wait an hour or 2 and then pickup the trap with bird, then repeat process.

Takes time, but theres hunting nearby and bandits to kill

That shouldnt be the problem. What i see is: drop the trap -> get the quest updated witht he information that a trap is set (should pop in) -> bird will get catched successfully. If you dont receive the quest update poping in, the trap will disappear.

By far the most annoying quest. I turned off my game sound 3 minutes in because my wife couldn't bear hearing that horrific sound everytime I got close to one of the trees it's hiding in.

Just drop the empy cage then either wait an hour in game time or just leave the area and come back the cage should be covered and the bird inside.
