i5, 660 GTX and 16GB ram.
I sended ticket to the devs hopefully it will give us something.
It wont get rid of the problem totally, but it reduced it alot for me.
Or maybe just some parts of the game is worse then others.... But so far its been less of it
please fix this, devs
At first, before getting beaten up by Runt, every once in a while the sound starts looping in second intervals, and shortly afterwards the game will freeze for about a minute (!) . If that happens while in dialogue, instead the character mouth animation will stop and the sound will be gone, while the (now silently) dialogue still continue, but slower. After a minute, the sound comes back, with whatever dialogue was said before the bug started being said at the same time as the new dialogue. Should the dialogue end before the bug is over, the game will freeze as usual.
Now, before the open world began, it didn't happen too often, and not in cutscene. But since the open world started (after the first Runt fight), the bug has become much worse. Now it literally happens almost every half a minute. I realized usually when something is loading, like texture, or going next to a NPC. Also now in cutscenes, too. The last cutscene had 4 of these freezes, again like the dialogue, with the sound and mouth animation disappearing, but otherwise continuing.
While this happens, after the first seconds of the freeze, I hear my hardrive making a short click sound, and one, two seconds before the freeze ends a short click noise again. Otherwise it's silent.
To me, it seems as if the game has problems reading the disk? Or Hardrive? Or something like that, I don't know. But it made the game unplayable to me, since it ruins both normal gameplay, and any cutscene and dialogue.
I have a GTX 1080 with 16 GB RAM, as well as the newest driver.
Has anyone here who also suffers from freezes Win 10? Or anyone able to upgrade and tell us if it helped?
You might have to edit a config file to do some of this.
He said it removed the freezes. I have not tested it myself.
I would link the thread, if I could find it again!
