Is there a way to get out of Talmberg without stealing the armor?

Couldn't convince the lord and the armor is well guarded and I wanted to play a honest playthrough.
Is there another way?

Hell. This is what forced me to quit the game early in the morning. I got 25g from the nice lady in the castle area where you start. And that gives me enough money for 1 lockpick because they cost 18g each. Then save before you break the pick 10 times because the lock picking mini game is bull crap.

Yeah, just go to the wooden bridge and jump off of it. Seriously, it will hardly hurt you at all.

Once you're down there, just run away from the town (the guards will give chase if they see you) and into the forest.

but you lost you horse and fail getting away with a horse also it take forever to run to you dead parents and the picking the lock issue is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can not save before just in case you breaking them so many times wow i love when you try to check tghis game out before the release per videos but nobody show or tell you how to pick a lot in videos

You cant pick locks because you dont have proper skills and knowledge. Later you learn how to pick them better.

Abandon all the garbage you are used to from games like Skyrim and enter the world of roleplay.

I felt the same way about the lock picking at first. It seemed impossible.

In particular, post Talmberg you will get a tutorial on lockpicking. Ignore the teacher, walk around the building, and try a very easy lock on the barn door. It'll open easier. For some reason some of the first locks you encounter are identified as very easy/easy, but are really quite hard. It does get easier as your skill increases.

Lol. This isn't a game to min/max. If you are trying to power fantasy your way through the TUTORIAL of this game you are going to have a bad time.

Silly me jumped off the bridge ran a bit then stopped to pick flowers. Guard caught me but my speech convinced him to let me go. I ran a bit more then thought "ok all clear" annnnnd stopped again to pick flowers. That same damn guard caught me again and took me back to the castle.

i did get my horse first but it ending up i am outside the castle and my horse is inside so it it a long walk also fail to get it done right

It's impossible to convince Sir Robart, even with Speech 20. A friend of mine tested it via cheat engine.
