Me? Myself? No, absolutely not. But I do think that it's physically possible, and that there have been people capable of it. And you know...it's an RPG with skill progression...
It's impossible to punch through plate armor, but it's possible to trip the knight so that he falls and then stab a long, thin dagger called "misericordia" into the visor of his helmet.
I remember watching a video update on Youtube last night from Warhorse Studios, where that bloke with the beard says that there is a hand-to-hand combat combos. Which makes sense when you think about it.
What do you do if your opponent disarms you? You attempt to maneuver in such a way that you can disarm, trip, grapple, or otherwise control the fight.
There will be hand-to-hand combat. Whether it's a dedicated skill or not - doubtful. Likely be based off Strength.
But technically "all" you need is hit a head to cause concussion or to cause an injury with the helmet itself. But normally you shoud never get that close to someone with a weapon. Keeping a distance is kinda the point of all weapon combat trainings.
Idea you could punch a knight with bare fists is not real.
Unarmed the most effective way to to disable a single heavy armored man is to make him fall. It's impossible to get up in an armor. And opening the helmet and stab/hit the face. But armored knights were never alone, they had support around. And were used in mass battles where the armor protects from random cuts.
I'd say use fists as a last resort and focus your main play style on sneaking and assassinating. Instead of lethal poison, you can even use less harsh ingredients and just make them drowsy or weak or sick instead, making them easier to fight.
Less fantasy, more history please.
