Honestly, its larger than you might think, and most likely they're slightly cheating on population density because it is still a video game. Having seen how they handle terrain, this is going to be a great experience.
If you are gonna try and troll, at least make it believable
Please be understanding and work with me,I'm trying to sell the game!
Skyrim was 15 square miles. As was Oblivion.
Zelda WindWalker is 16.
TW3 is 21, but that's spread over 3 separate zones and Skellige is mostly water.
GTA 5 is over 30, but how much of that is empty desert?
Damn, I hadn't realised!
This game is definately the biggest that will be out until 2020 :D
Skyrim is 37.1 km² so much bigger
Square miles =/= square kilometers
Plus lets not forget that some maps in Skyrim for certain quests are not on world map and some dungeons in Skyrim are underground.
And considering that this game is supposed to be realistic, you're not going to have that "hell yeah" feeling finding/crafting that one awesome weapon, since this game will only include realistic weapons.
So if you're looking for Skyrim like exploration I have a feeling that you won't find it here. Funny how Skyrim is already like 7 years old and it's still one of the biggest games out there.
