PC or Console
I have been looking forward to this game for awhile, however I know it has an unique sword fighting mechanic. I am normally a PC gamer, however it looks like this game might be geared towards console. Thoughts? Pc or Console?

If you can, it's obviously always better to buy a game for PC. You can use console controllers on PC as well (I use Microsoft Elite XBox One controller with metal analog sticks, best gamepad I have ever seen), and due to the ability to upgrade PCs, you usually get better performance and more tweakable game (unless the port quality is really poor), not to mention modding scene that usually only exists on PC.

mods
PC since the blocking system seems to be easier with mouse and keyboard plus maybe mods

Mostly the Swords plays are easier to handle by controllers as they are a third person,
For any first person i will say PC, But this game have a controller support too.
At the end, it depends on you personal taste too, enjoy what you want.

But my choice is the PC versions too. have a controller for the sports !

So definitely pc here, since you get better graphics and a higher refresh rate. You also can use

a console controller if you want (I use a controller for mainly driving games). Lastly there's mods.

PC is best. You don’t want to be a console peasant

You can use what ever controller you want to PC. Yes some games are easier played with a controller I think but as a PC player you have a huge varaity of controllers to choose from. You can even use all PS4 and XB1 ontrollers to most new games on PC too as well. Just because you're a PC player does not mean you're forced to play with a mouse and keyboard.
PC. for the simple reason the game is likely to be anything more than 30fps on console, plus the option to use any control setup you please and mods of course.

It hasn't been ruled out that there won't be mod support on inferior consoles but it most like won't be as great as on PC, this is just my unbiased opinion on PC and inferior consoles.

I just hook up an Xbox pad if the game suits the control scheme. I was shocked the other month that people were surprised it's an option, and they couldn't believe the button layout displays natively on screen just as it would on console.

It's only been that way for about 10 or so years lol.

I mainly want to know about the controls. The combat system was trash on Console and was wondering if it was better on PC

That necro. Why just not make a new thread.
I have not played on console as I do not own one (I stopped watching TV or having one back in like 2010). I assume however that the combat system is pretty much the same as I do not see how it can be changed without remaking the whole game.

From what I've read lockpicking is easier to learn on a PC. (And it's challenging on a PC if you don't crank down the sensitivity on your mouse).

I don't even know how to shoot bandits in the face with a bow on a console
