One of the trailers for Mordhau showed it too, even Thegn Trand tried that technique in real life but it´s "not very effective". Maybe someone will make a mod one day, imagine a big battle where everyone ends the enemy rightly
Context (schollagladitoria voice)
Wonky german judicial duels where equipment was limited
Not open battlefield like in KCD
Not choose your own inventory like KCD
Dismantle your sword by removing pommel
Throw pommel
Hope you didn't cluster that up else fight with an off balance sword.
So no.... not historical to the KCD fighting.
An annoying meme bantered about out of context.
Consider it along the lines a modern day bayonet fight where first you take the rear stock off your gun and throw it.
I assume the main idea of this is to get the enemy out of balance by doing something that is unexpected at that moment. Throw him off to be able to then capitalise on that confusion or reaction that could show if the opponent reacts to it somehow. Or it could have another meaning it could be a form of deep insult like spitting on someone. But im not entirely sure of the historical meaning off this. I will have to look deeper into it.
