Siege quest - herbalist?

There's one objective left for me for the 'Siege' quest; to find an herbalist who can make a potion to stop the soldiers being sleepy or something, I spoke to one hag about it and she told me she could help but not in a large quantity, but nothign changed in my quest log afterwards. The other herbalists don't even have an option to speak on the matter. How do I solve this?

Find right herbalist. Im currently at this stage of game.. picked options to learn potion at one herbalist and couldnt ask her to make it after... Luckily other herbalist i went to was OK with making it.
Im having trouble with ale..i have last pub left, hope there will be some. :/

I've been to all 3 herbalist and there's no option other than mentioned in the first response.

You need to get some brownie points from the Herbalist west of Merhojed. I think I sold her some herbs but charged her nothing for them. She was very appreciative about that ... then the dialog options changed and she would brew the potions for you.

Found that hint on one of the other forum ... and it worked for me.

Did you do some of the quest around Ledetchko, there include the Herbalist?.
Maybe thats the reason. I also had a speech option where Henry told Captain Bernard about it. Guess its depends on your choices and options.

I don't recall doing any quest involving this herbalist, maybe another one though? But I've even gone backt o Bernard already to see if there was something I needed to say to him and nope, nothing there. For some reason I never was given any kind of update to collect anything, she only told me about knowing of a recipe and then nothing further. I'm going there now to try and raise the rep.

Don't understand the haggle thing, therre's no option to go exponentially over or under the recommended price of the herbs, plus she doesn't have a lot of coin so it doesn't leave much room for leway. What do you do exactly to raise the rep from giving coin?

She has a specific name, not just "herbalist" You probably have to do a quest involving her The one with the witches I think....

I’m not making this up. The first play through I had no issue with this quest. The last play through I was stuck … spoke to ALL of the herbalists … not just the three with quest markers. There were no options to mass brew the potions.

Looked it up on several forums … the solution that worked was what I posted here. No clue why … but it worked.

The bartering mini-screen starts somewhere in the upper part of the slider, this means you can move the slider to a lesser value down to zero.

The one where you pretend to be satan? One hell of a trip? Something like that? That's the one near Uhitz (sp) But yes I did do that quest, she doesn't like me because of the result haha

This took a while but it eventually worked and a new speech option appeared. Thank you very much.

I guess you can buy stuff from her 1st ... this way she has more money to start ... then when you barter to give her stuff ... the bartering range would be bigger.
