Raw Meat & "Drop in pot"
So where if anywhere can i cook my raw meat from say sheep i hunt?

And the "Drop in pot" feature of pots cooking over a fire, does that do anythign if i throw in some apples, will i be able to eat from that pot eventually?

Some pots you can eat from, but then thats it, i wanna know when and why i can re eat from those pots later, and if dropping items into those pots while there is no "eat from pot" option would cook the food

otherwise the drop in pot feature is useless

Drop in Lullabye and other potions, watch what happens. You can cook raw things on the side of the pot on the burner grille, or in the red coals to the side of the pot in outside open campfires.

Basicly, whatever you drop in will affect whoever eats from it. Be it alcohol, a healing potion or some lethal ingredients...

Unfortunately the 'drop in' option is only for potions, such a lost opp for both cooking and recipes.
Could make some kind of super sheperds pie that is great before battle or making more savory stuff out of recipes for other beneficial buffs...
I just want the option to throw all kinds of nasty things in there and watch them simmer into something delicious

Actualy, some food can also be thrown in, apples for example im pretty sure can be thrown in.Would assume it would heal someone who eats from it by the 1 or 2 points of health they restore.

While i was editing some game files, I noticed that along with the regular skills/perks.. There is a listing for cooking! It's marked as hidden so it won't show up in the skills tab. [as well as daggers and a few other things]. seems like they were planning on adding real cooking, but it didn't work/got cut/ etc.

If you want to cook the raw meat you have to interact with the fire under the pot. That will grill the meat.

Thats exactly why i thought i could cook some food in it because i could throw in apples and other food items.

Also, is there a timer as to when a pot can be eaten from again? i notice i can eat from a pot, then can't for a while, then can when i return to that pot a while later.
Don't think its because i'm full either so thought maybe you throw in apples and wait for them to cook
