For one, there wasn't really any plate armour. Just chainmail, if you could afford it. I am sure someone can find an exception but on the whole the look of the Viking age was a lot different.
Instead, I suggest the next 'proper' sequel should focus on either the Hussite Wars, but somehow I'm quite interested to see something along the lines of playing in the Dutch/German region at the start of the Protestant Reformation
I'd like to see something that involves Halley's Comet and how our "Gods" were actually spacemen. Then you can see how our entire history was based on idiotic assumptions.
Henry could get beamed up by aliens, having come to collect their now mature specimen. LOL
Cynicism aside, anything medieval and involving plate armour and no trace of Americans will do for me.
Why would it need rationalizing? Nations and all kinds of ethnic group have invaded and declared war without any rational reason (power, riches, control etc). To rationalize his actions would feel kinda off. Like he was a slave and forced to fight or whatever. All cultures are different and if we are to play as a viking, depending on year and exceptions, it would be OK to needlessly kill innocents or deploy tactics that christians would see as dishonorable/immoral.
Famine, overpopulation, scarce resources etc are rational reasons as to why someone would declare war/raid. Vengeance is also, in my opinion, rational. The vikings invaded and raided for several different reasons both unrational and rational.
But nah I'd like more central and eastern Europe, more Bohemia is fine as well.
They do in all TV series, movies and games. Go visit a museum, the best one with a living history / reenctment event and get some education.
