How to hunt wild boar ?

How to hunt wild boar ? with a bait (food or other) ?

When I discover a wild boar hunting spot, I never see a wild boar.
However, I hide, with the appropriate attire having 0 in visibility, 0 in equivocal and 0 in noise.

How are you doing to hunt wild boar ?

same as everything else. Bow and arrow. i hunt them on horseback

I know, I use bow too, but I dont see boar. I saw one, one day, but it disappeared immediately and I could not find it.

Here you go, click the boar hunting icon and it'll show you where to find 'hunting spots' that are guaranteed to have them spawn.

They do occasionally go to wallow in the mud at the hunting spot but in general I think animal behaviours need tweaking. They seem to move around continuously rather than slowing down to graze. Makes it very hard to shoot them.

Boar tend to move around in a group, and they don't quite stick to just one small area. They do move around quite a bit. They don't spook easily though, I hunted them in full heavy gear with 100 noise just fine. Use a bow to hunt and having a horse to help you with weight will be a huge help. 1 boar alone can have over 100 meat, 2 boars will likely have you overloaded.

I had best luck by identifying to boar hunting spots close together and then walking between them.

You have to shoot spears with your bow.

Finally, I found them, I found 2 boars that I killed with the bow and on horseback, then I walked a long time in the zone, but they did not repop, respawn, restocked.

So I went to another place and found one that stopped and did not move, he was waiting for death, lol.

I saw my first polearm in the entire game FINALLY after 50 hours haha it was on a random encounter with some very under armed bandits. I killed them and took both. :D
