Vambrace alternative in Skalitz?

Are there other types of armor that protect your arm from the bow string that I can acquire in Skalitz? Want to get some bow practice in before I talk to Dad.

Kill a cuman and get his cuman vambrace. The best weight/defense ratio vambrace and it doesnt dispel lightweight perk. U only need a vambrace to protect your arms when your bow skill is under 5.

Only way to get a normal vambrace is knock down a guard and rob him then leave Skalitz before he wake up

Why leave? I've robbed one already without an issue.

No vambraces though so I was wondering if other armor worked. All he had was the elbow things.

Then rob all guards, you may find one.
