Is there a way to go back to 1.2.5
1.3.1 Broke my game, Is there any way to go back to 1.2.5. Had no issues with it at all.

Update: It is possible to go back to 1.2.5 by using this guide http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1086279994

I'm also really happy that some people are enjoying it. I just wish I was. I'm watching a video a guy made and his is running beautifully and he has no issues...but I have so many I am scared to even try to do anything for fear it all breaks. I'm not super savvy and I want to rollback but I am too frustrated to try it and so I am trying to make devs aware of the problems. Maybe it's a certain set of hardware. Maybe it's a software issue. Maybe it's a bug. But saying it's all peachy keen doesn't help.

Right now, a lot of bugs have been reported. A lot of them are coming from vanilla players like me who don't use mods so that isn't the issue. I just wish everyone being rude to anyone not happy would cut it out and accept that we aren't saying we hate WH or the game. We are unhappy we cannot enjoy the game after this patch. I usually play KCD for hours daily. Now it's 3:11 PM and I haven't played more than 15 min because it's so choppy and horrible.

I found the same guide and downloading 1.2.5 right now. 32 gigs will take some time. Ill report if its gonna work out.

Be aware that it's being downloaded on drive C (i.e. where you have your Steam installed). Which is why I for one sadly can't do the same - I hae Win7 installed on a 60 GB SSD where I have like 6 Gb left.

I have no issues with my 1.2 savegame in 1.3, even with mods.
So good news I managed to make it work. You got to go to steam offline mode before you launch a game. (After you replaced 1.3.1 files with 1.2.5) bad news - game refuses to load my saves now. Says load failed.

Do you have 1.2.5 saves backed up or are they 1.2.5 that have been overwritten with 1.3.1?

This is a mess. :steamsalty: I'm unsure what to do. I backed my saves up incase of explosions but I'm so frustrated in general.

You maybe should disable auto updating ;).
Library --> right klick KCD --> properties --> updates --> drop down menu --> disable updates

There is a way to do it but it's involved and complicated. Obviously, back up your save folder first.

you saved the day :) thx

I've tested saves made with Steam version 1.2.5 on a GOG version 1.2.5G and they work just fine. Might be a good way to actually finish the first playthrough without worrying about updates bringing more bugs than they fix.
