You can't really go 10 minutes without Henry talking about being a "good christian".. he is clearly already a christian. And like all "good christians", he justifies the killing of human beings because they are heathens or some such.. despite the fact jesus said it is never ok to kill. But whatever, in that regard he is no different than almost all the other Christians I've met in life.

As a Catholic myself, I wish there were more faith-based actions in the game. Maybe things to boost vitality or courage or something, like visiting the church regularly, going to Mass, doing the sign of the cross, using the Holy Water font in church, genuflecting to the tabernacle, prayer before meals, confession, blessings from priests. All optional, of course.
There are relics in the game, but I don't know if they provide any bonuses.

Its funny how denominations these days all fall under the 'Christian' banner. Even when many of them have such different teachings.

Huh? Are you talking if I as the player will become Christian or something? In that case no, no nothing will make me become a Christian. I made the decision to be an atheist for several reason:

1: Most of what the Bible say is garbage.
2: Most Christians do not know what the Bible say which makes you wonder why they even have a holy book.
3: There is several things that show that any idea of a all-powerful, all-knowing and all-loving God isn't that, what it does show with some basic logic is that if God is real it is a God that doesn't care or is nothing but evil
4: A lot of the understanding of Christianity people have comes from cherry picking what they want from the teachings. They add what isn't in the teachings and make it cannon because no one knows what is actuallly in the teachings. I can prove it. Where in the Bible does it say the rules of the old testament doesn't apply? Or where in the Bible does it say the Trinity is a thing? I can tell you I will not get any answers because there is no such thing in the Bible, it have been added into the cannon from outside sources and been passed down through tradition.
5: A lot of what is being taught in the Bible have been clearly editied to suit the persons agenda. Look at the old testament. I bet most of you that read this have no idea why the Jews made a Golden Calf, they did it because at the time the Jews was polythesist and worshipped several different Gods depending on which region they was in. If you moved to a region that belonged to another God you worshipped that God as you was in its land. Most have no idea who El, Asherah, Inanna and more are, it is because when the Jews came around with Yahweh and wanted a monotheistic religion they rewrote the old books to remove the old references. What was contributed to El was taken to be what Yahweh did as Yahweh absorbed El. The book of Deuteronomy is considered by many scholars to be an outright fabrication, it showed up way to conviniently when a ruler wanted to make political changes and the book happened to conviniently support the changes.

I can list more but I am way to lazy for it. I also do not see the point as this thread makes no sense at all in the first place.
Atheists are more fanatic then other religious people nowadays. Atheism have become what it was supposed not to be. A religion in it self. Take a look at yourself. The only one preaching in here (in a joke thread) is you. The atheist. I find that very funny :)

I personally hate fake christians who cherry pick what they get to believe in. It's either all or nothing. Stick to your faith or just discard it like everybody else.

You know religion are just fairy tales for adults right?

funny thing is that the religion in the game is closer to Catholic. you se the holy water fonts in all the church entrances like in Catholic churches and everyone does the "Sign of The Cross" thing where they touch forehead and the 2 shoulders and that's a Catholic thing,

although , it is true Catholics are Christians too and the game often uses the 2 words interchangeably , so technically, yes, Christianity is a theme in the game.

although, Henry can break many commandments during his playthrough.

and when i see the word "Deliverance", i'm usually thinking of something else. . .

Sooooeeee!

To be clear: The sign of the cross is historically one of the most common signs of the early church. Even in some of the most ancient references we have to the oroginal church, they talk about the "traditional sign".

The only thing that there's really any (minor) contention over is the means of how you do the sign of the cross:

Catholics typically do: one or two fingers(?) from the temple, to the chest/ribs, to the left shoulder, then right shoulder.

Orthodox Christians typically do: 3 fingers pinched together (representing the trinity) from the forehead, down to the belly button, to the right shoulder, then left shoulder.

Prots may or may not do any sign of the cross at all. Historically speaking, early Prots avoided the sign of the cross because it was "too reminiscent" of Catholicism, which they had been fighting over. In turn, it kind of fell out of favor and hasn't been as popular as a result with Prots.

Hope that helps! :)
