People being provoked literally is the definition of toxicity. You, sir, are a toxic elitist little brat. That's all there's to it. Take that for a meta because it's true ;)
Haha yeah exactly. And I forgot another huge category - the blatant trolls trying to start a flame war. That makes for a third head of the dragon called KCD steam discussions.
In my playthrough I stripped naked and trained with him with the training weapons to not damage my armor. With the wooden sword you can't really damage him in the first place, so you have all the time in the world to skill up.
And yes, the master strikes are ♥♥♥♥ and badly implemented, but the player can use them as well, so they don't make the combat more difficult they just make the combat mechanics worse and more boring.
In terms of realism it makes sense that you can't beat him in a fight when Henry is so unskilled, Though by that point if he won't hold back in a fight he'd just say "Well there ain't ♥♥♥♥ you can do against me so I'll find you a weaker opponent to train with" But in terms of this being a game and in any game realism has to step aside for game mechanics. It's bad that the first introduction in skilled combat (Again, not counting wailing at peasants) is up against an enemy who is flat out undefeatable, not like Dark souls "Can't beat the asylum demon cause you have no skill" that is good difficulty, this is rolling a dice every time you hit an opening and the dice saying you lose instead of the NPC, because the NPC has better stat numbers than you do.
This is basically saying to every new player "These are the rules on how our combat works, and you'll never have skill in this game because the computer gets to decide that you fail not your skill"
Yeah I use feints/parries/ripostes and combos you know what Bernard does? Block 95% of them or riposte on his own. I perform a Perfect Block? Somehow he STILL parries and ripostes it with no defense for me. Try to set up a combo? Blocks or dodges at latest the third hit. Bernards defenses are way too strong, if it wasn't for the full plate I had along with Revenant he'd probably have killed me a few times over by now.
Chuck Norris kicks my arse. Therefore, Chuck Norris is impossible to train with.
