There's no fast travel on hardcore mode, and trust me you will not miss it. The game offers incredible detail but compared to other titles, the map really isn't that large. On normal mode, I found that I got into more trouble than it was worth by fast traveling.
Fast travel is only part of Normal gameplay, and thus doesn't matter.
And i'm pretty sure you can quit Fast Travel - you just have to press the <ESC> key at the right time.
It's also possible to just refrain from fast-travelling. Not only does this non-activity take no effort, it also costs nothing.
You're right... but way too obvious/logical for grievance mongers.
Fast travel is good in the beginning, but you really miss a lot if you use it. I think even Skyrim is larger than KCD, and for similar reasons I rarely fast travel in that game either. As with KCD, there's a 'survivalist' mode where it isn't allowed. Gamers appreciate it as it adds to the immersion factor.
The latest games in the Assassin's Creed franchise are a different story altogether - the map sizes are insane and fast travel is almost a necessity. Almost..........
Or am i missing something and you can exit fast travel when you like?
You're "missing something"... or a number of somethings... See post #18 above.
That's true.
But grandpa wins.
If it were possible for a hymen to grow over my bellend it would have happened long before now.
If you could do that, you'd be no different than the endless parade of mommy-tied peterpans who begin threads for the sole purpose of letting everyone know how unfairly the devs and the game (and 'fanbois') has treated them.
Somehow, against all odds (given society the way it is), you grew up... 'manned' up.
It's not a popular notion, I know but IMO, It's admirable.
