Agreed. This game is too beautiful to n00b your way through it.
For hardcore fans: you are not forced to interrupt fast travel.
But that said, I don't know why fast travel is even a thing when it is faster (in terms of in-game time) to just ride your horse. It might even be faster just to go on foo--run for a count of five, jog for a count of six. All the way to Uzhitz and back.
