Release Notes for 1.3 Patch Update - NOW LIVE on Steam!
  • The game now has Save and Exit feature.
  • Saving is much more robust and saves won't get corrupted even if the game crashes while saving.
  • Performance improved
    • LoD switching tweaked, reducing pop-in and improving texture streaming.
    • Stuttering in some areas reduced.
    • Slightly smoother framerate on Vsync 30. (Consoles and some PCs)
  • Improved lockpicking
    • New interface design makes it much easier to hold the sweet spot while turning the lock.
    • Easy and Very Easy trunks are now easier to lockpick when playing with a controller. (Mouse difficulty unchanged)
  • Improved pickpocketing
    • You will no longer get caught if you stop at the beginning of the minigame. (Unless someone sees you)
    • The risk indicator is now much more precise. When green, you are sure not to get caught.
  • Alchemy bench will no longer shoot you into the air.
  • The last quest with Lord Capon is now visible on the map when he is ready to assign it to you.
  • Guards won't frisk you so often.
  • Your horse shouldn't get stuck when jumping fences.
  • Horse items are cleaned along with player items in bathhouses.
  • You can see when looking at a bed whether it will save your game.
  • You can sleep on beds without having to sit down first.
  • Levelling up stealth by sneaking past enemies is more consistent.
  • Sneaking past sleeping NPCs is now easier.
  • Some easily accessible trunks with extremely good loot have been removed.
  • Cave mushrooms can now be found in many other damp places.
  • You can no longer autocook potions that you haven't brewed by hand at least once before.
  • German voiceovers will no longer cut off in mid-sentence in cutscenes.
  • Late game player strength tweaked
    • Some combat perks that were unintentionally overpowered were tuned down.
    • Weapons scale less with high-level stats.
    • It should now be much harder to kill high-level enemies with one hit. (Unless they're helmetless. Stupid Runt...)
  • Other combat system tweaks
    • "Untargeted attack" exploit fixed.
    • Enemy combat archery AI improved.
    • Guards now react to combat more aggressively.
    • And many other minor tweaks.
  • (PC only) It is now possible to select different types of anti-aliasing.
  • (PC only) It is now possible to set VSync to 30 or 60, or disable it completely.
  • (PC only) Steam Cloud saving enabled.
  • And over 300 other fixes in various quests.

Every single time I exit the inventory screen or end a conversation, Henry lets out this really weird "inhale" sound like he's recovering his stamina. EVERY TIME I exit the menu, all I hear is: "HHHHUUUUUUHHHHGGGHHHH"

It's quiet and "soft," but it's absolutely driving me crazy. No matter what I cannot "un-hear" it and it's super irritating.

I assume this is some unintended side effect of them "reconfiguring" some behind the scene systems that fixed some bug somewhere, but the level of "subtle" irritation of that god-awful BREATHING is maddening!

JESUS CHRIST, HENRY, I'M LOOSING MY MIND!

I think Henry got a hearth condition or asthma since the patch, haven't you noticed on top of the breathing he also has the heart that races, like when you're about to die with almost no stamina left ?

Poor Henry, he's doomed I don't think there was much to be done for hearth condition at that time ...

Then i had a mysterious thing going on with the capacity of my horse. I took a repair kit of my horse to fix my boots and when i tried to put the repair kit back to the horse the game told me "your horse hasn´t the capacity to carry more" (only in german). And when i take a look what happened my horse carry capacity was .... nothing. There was no capacity at all (even if there was still some stuff loaded to my horse). That fixed itself when i closed the menu and opened it up again. Then the capacity was as it was before. This only happened one time so far.

I had the exact same one, can't remember witch repair kit it was , cobbler or blacksmith , but yes that happend to me also and only once as well so far.

Just got to a part of Questions and Answers where I meet Radzyg at a camp and after a cutscene I get quest failed. I did finish Pestilence before talking to him..I had no idea there was a bug until now and I have no saves of when Pestilence was unfinished :((

Fogwar doesn't disappear (well he disapear the time you travell it then come back). Random fat travelling fight starts during loading screen. Treasure maps and books can be bought over and over to the same seller. Potions i make for sasau injuried stays in my inventory after i use them on sick people. For now, this is all i saw.

Holy sweet mammaries, if the patchnotes truly work, then that's all my complaints of the game gone. Slap my arse if that's so. Great stuff.

Yeah, you're right, there doesn't seem to be any correlation between item condition and crashes. That was a hasty conclusion. Crashes still a very real thing for me though. Can't buy stuff at traders... at all... without kcd shutting down. Starting a new playthrough post patch 1.31 (for the seventeenth time). Maybe this time will be different and I can actually advance in game.

Do you have any mods by chance? I couldn’t purchase anything from the traders until I removed a realism mod that edited more than the param files.
After 1.3 Patch :
+ Game use more threads on CPU.
+ Generally lower and stable frame-time.
+ Game run smoother and better responsiveness.

With 1.3 patch even on ~45FPS game feels (almost) like 60FPS on 1.2 Patch. Good Job !
I got low FPS cuz all settings on Ultra with 100% Distance/LOD. If i lower only two settings (Shadow and Lighting Quality to Very High) i got 60-90 FPS with 80-99% GPU-Load.

So, no problems with FPS, i just used heavy settings for comparison.

P.S. Sorry, my English pretty bad :) Just wanna say patch really good for me.

UPD - It's not advice for someone here on graphic settings. No.
And Frame-Time increses only in special problematic areas and camera angles.
And do not confuse about FPS Increase ! I am talking only about Frame-TIME (NOT FPS).

Do you have any mods by chance? I couldn’t purchase anything from the traders until I removed a realism mod that edited more than the param files.
Seems everyone was/is having this problem with the perkaholic mod. There's kinda vague instructions in the posts tab on nexus

How do you sleep without sitting down? My game still only says 'E to sit'

Edit: nevermind, I guess it just doesn't show up in the beginning. It's working properly now.

Same, no road encounters for me neither. I emailed warhorse earlier this month and recieved the following email yesterday:

"This is a known issue and we are working hard to fix it as soon as possible. I recommend you to keep your game always updated to latest version. - Peter Novak"

So maybe next patch I guess. Looks like I will have to start the game again as the game was so bug filled I thought it would be best to use the savegame mod, only now I don't have a save without this bug. Irony.
So.... What about the broken quests? Are we still stuck? And please, don't bother me with "b-b-but.. *I'M* not stuck.. comments please.
