Can you actually be ordered as a benedict monk?

I've not finished the game yet, so if this is solved later on the game, say nothing :)

I've finished the monastery quest working with Pious, helping him to scape and then betraying him to send him to Rattay's prission, so obviously I haven't complete my time as novice.

When I entered the monastery I was told that I had to stay one year as a novice before being ordered a monk. I was wondering if this would actually happen if I had the enormous patience of spending 365 full days doing the daily tasks of the monastery

I tried to help the alquemist brother to become abbot, but there was no election before I left the monastery, as the current one is not dead yet. Does this "event" happen eventually if you stay in the monastery?

Doubt that, but that would make a solid achievment if devs had some time to spare

After the the monastery quest I got a monk robe. I wonder if you can use it to go back in disguised. Also, wonder if you can go back and complete the quests from there after dealing Pious.

What migfht be neat is if you COULD BE ORDAINED as a BENEDICTINE Monk!

Well if cumans can see trough your disguise even with covered face I doubt that monks will have problems with that, especially if you as Gregory allegedly killed another brother and then ran away after taking vows

Hah! Good point. Though I have 100 rep with them. I did not kill him, handed over to bailiff instead.

Also, pretty sure just leaving for that period of time would be a problem, and even "I had a good reason" is not really justifiable either.

Could you kill pious the first night, when everyone is asleep, then still keep living as a monk though? Act as if nothing happened, yet keep that sweet serene lifestyle, with all the chores and stability.

wtf maybe not everybody is english native speaker? can u stfu if u dont have any answer to the question?
it would take u 30 hours of gameplay if u need about 5min one day. its just to painfull for me to try out just to find out there is nothing at the end XD. but maybe the election happens at some point and maybe there is more in the monastery. if u try it out let me know pls =)

i helped nevlas and after a time (maybe like 8 days or so i cant remember) he told me he had saved the old guy with the book i gave him so there wont be an election XD.

Wow I cant belive my comment was removed. It was so minorly offensive I have seen people say 1000 times worse. Anyway english may not be your native iwanttobreakfree but I can see that by the way you typoe however the poster Darcaem seems to know his spelling and punctuation very well. So I still think the guy might just be a lil dumb and is getting Ordered and Ordained mixed up. You cant be ordered as a monk you can be ordainded as a monk! Oh and to the moderator I am sorry for thinking somebody is dumb for not knowing the difference between Ordained and Ordered its something you should have picked up on in your life.

By the way, I am Spanish. And I did confused being ordained with being ordered. I do not believe that is a big deal nor I feel ofended by you thinking I was dumb. I might think the same when some non-spanish speaker mistakes some words.

In Spanish we say "ser ordenado como monje"; which, wrongly translates into "to be ordered as monk". The confusion comes because the Spanish word for "to order" and "to ordain" is the same, the verb "ordenar". And I did completely forgot the verb "to ordain".

So... yeah. My mistake I guess, I shall pray 40 holy mary as penitence
