Kill Pious worst quest in the game?
Jesus Christ, I stopped playing this game for a week midway through this quest because it's so dull. I had to reload saves 6 times because I broke it already, and then do 30 mins of talking to random people and doing menial tasks for some monks and then waiting around.

u can just read right book and kill him
but.. for me it was one of best sidequests with good story around
I want to complete it by arresting him so Radzig won't be pissed.
But you can't even get a weapon in the monestary, there's always monks guarding the kitchen area, and lockpicking and pickpocketing are really cancerous.

I know I hated it I knew who it was the first 2 min yet had to roam around doing stupid boring act, pray, eat, pray, eat,I got kicked out, climbed the Church consturction site took out my bow and killed him in the court yard, hint he is there in the mornings between 8-9 white robe kneeing,

If you want to get a lockpick/weapon inside, you can always break in before joining the order (through the overseer's office, to the library) and plant items there.

Also, nicking some food/wine from the basement really shouldn't be that hard to do at night w/o getting caught, so you should be able to trade for it for some picks. There is a chest with a dagger in the quarters as well.

Pickpocketing is really just something that needs a bit of training, plus a decent stealth skill. Once you're over the hump its really pretty straightforward.

Also, according to a different thread, you can actually bypass the whole thing, and signal the bandits without killing/capturing Pious. You have to fight the bandits when you show up empty handed, but it is apparently possible to continue.

you can still roam around the town and even get to youre horse and chest all between the duties, just sneak youre way out through the cellar door LOL you can be a monk and go to the tavern and drink then get back in time for youre duties LOL its easy :D

hahhaah I started the same thread last week, i've now completely finished the game.
but i agree this one is the worst.
i wanted to jail him aswell and after countless tries I looked up a guide and just did the stuff that had to be done, nothing more.
You're not only one OP, I've read many threads on here complaining about this quest. Tons of twitch streamers have also voiced their opinions against this quest and some have even stopped playing the game at this stage because its such a pointless quest to play/watch.

The quest design on paper sounds like they wanted you to feel the religious experience of the Monastery, but in practice they failed to make this quest mentally stimulating and creative. They added things like doing Monk chores such as Praying and eating and library duty. All these things were unnecessary and 80% of people pressed "T" to skip all the time. If people are skipping it, then its pointless content not worth attention! The other 20% are sitting there for 2 hours waiting for the time to go by lol.

Very poorly designed level/mission overall.

ur not alone..

on other side.. its a sidequest.. and many ppl in Jon Snow whinning posts enjoy this for realistic look in monk live :)
i enjoy sidequests in Monastery.. it was fun
but i know.. its not for everyone.. like poaching isnt for everyone, or alchemy..etc
but is cool, when u can choose what u want to do from tons f choices,, and when u dont like it, u can do that too, but in other way..
dont be like Jon Snow ;-) and dont torture yourself :-D

btw: Jon Snow: im curious about your statistic source, when u troll about 80 percent of ppl..

I told you I've given up talking to you anymore. You're not worth my time. You're a troll fanboy that only likes this game because it comes from your country and talks about your history. It's the only thing worthwhile coming out of your country so you feel patriotic and obliged to support it and in the process you will ignore all negative things about the game (even if they are valid complaints) and only pay attention to the good points. People like that deserve no attention.

So like I said in another thread. Don't slash my opinions. You have your opinions and I have mine and we both have the freedom to express it. So don't quote me or mention me in any of your post, because I don't see you worth discussing anything about this game when you just practice obtuseness with your fanboy/troll behaviour.

I just reloaded a save from 4 hours ago wherein I had all of my stuff, jumped the scaffold and killed about 20 monks and 8 guards and got the dice. Shame about Radzig but what more can you do?

I should have done this too, but I wanted to role play a peaceful merciful Henry, only killing when needed... I would have killed that whole town just to forget the memory of playing that mission lol

How so? I have no trouble doing them. Pickpocket was rough the first levels though. But I don't get the complaint's on those minigames really. This wasn't my favorite quest either. So I ended up buying lookpicks from the one guy with the value of stolen food. Then i open the outer door at night to go get my dagger, and I killed Pious in his sleep because I just felt it was obvious which of the novices it had to be. But maybe I was just lucky x)

and that link for your statistic source, dear troll? :)

A troll doesn't say the game is good and at the same time highlight the negative points to the game. It's called "Fair judgement". This is what I do in all of my posts here: I say its good but has many faults. Learn what troll is.

You on the other hand blame people for having bugs. You blame people who complain late game is OP who 1 hitting enemies (I guess it has nothing to do with the broken level system). You blame people for poor mission design. Your fanboyism is obtuse and if I was a mod of this forum I'd ban you because you do more harm to the forum than good. There are many valid critizisms about the game on this forum and you brush off every poster as if it's their fault. If a new customer came to the forum and saw your comments brushing off the OP who has problems, they will just ignore the thread and buy the game anyway. Only to find out later that they suffer from the same problem in that thread they ignored. That's bad practice. You don't care if people suffer from problems/bugs. You just care that your country is portrayed in good light through this game and will ignore all critizisms or bugs. Very common characteristic of fanboys.
