Report a translation problem
if none of the bandits you checked had a die, then you missed one, or they got away, or the game glitched (that's a very buggy questline)
the "die" identifies you as a member and allows you entrance to the "(bandit camp)"
without a die, the guard can be persuaded using a speech or charisma check - so, drink a Bard potion and you shouldn't have a problem (no need for the die)
and you can simply wander over to the right place, the "bandit camp", over the ridge and in the woods, southwest of Sassau - or, as others have mentioned, ask the innkeeper (who will say, lights on hill to south)
