Attack with the cross guard of the weapon.
So in medieval times if a knight 1v1 happened, they would hold their swords by the blade and attack with the cross guard as that would do more damage to the armor.
I think this would be a nice feature that would stop the 15 minute full plate fights with swords.

Problem is that currently high tier swords combined with some advanced stats cut trough plate armor as if they were cloth. I think they would have to fix that first.

Henry actually used this strike in cutscene fight against Rant.

yeah but cutscenes are not gameplay.

There are many pommel strikes used in devices and counters, as well as some examples of halfswording.

I haven't yet seen a mordhau, but I am still seeing new variants of counters from time to time after hundreds of hours and nearly 600 kills. (Including with a 'reduced damage scaling' mod, which avoids the rapid termination of higher skill fights).

...or you could carry a mace or bunt weapon. If you can't tear someone's flesh, cave in their skull and give them tinitus

Kind of unnecessary in the context of the game since we can switch out our sword to a mace any time we want to in the middle of a fight

Yes, but in a historical setting you wouldnt carry a mace and a sword. And as we all know, Warhorse studios strives for historical accuracy.
Also who wants to carry around an ugly mace if you can have a beatiful shining sword.

Yes, they should really nerf carrying capacity

Yes you would.
Historical harness of some types was equipped with chains on the breastplate~. One attached to each of the arming sword, the mace etc. Any could be 'discarded' and then recovered later to be properly sheathed/stored.

That we much sheath the weapon before using another is more of an issue than being armed with both.

~Much like the lanyard of a later period 'officer's/cavalryman's revolver'.

It is lbs. But yes, the amount you can carry is a little higher than practical.

I just think they should reduce the impact that strength has on your carrying capacity, at the start of the game it takes up most of your capacity just to wear actual armor after all. It doesn't get silly until later, especially with the Mule perks

A full set of plate armor weighs 20-25kg. And since the weight is distributed all over your body, you don't really feel it. (Unless you are a very weak specimen)
Now I agree that carrying 400kg worth of stuff is a taaad unrealistic, but the armor weight is accurate.

It's called a "Mordhau".

I know that armor is heavy, my suggestion wasn't about that, it was to reduce the amount of extra carry weight you get from strength
