HD Texture Pack - Is it worth it?

I have an i7 4770k (3.5Ghz) and a GTX 1080, does the HD texture pack give a noticable performance hit? I've been running the game on Ultra (apart from Shadows due to obvious reasons) at 55-60fps.

It doesn't give any performance hit if you've got enough VRAM, which you have. Textures are one of those features that are cheap for developers but not for consumers. They don't need to optimise it beyond getting it to fit in memory, unlike post-processing which is implementation dependent. That's why so many games today have install sizes into the dozens of GB, it's mostly textures of varying resolution.

what is a decent VRAM amount? I have 8081mb vram?

not for me too i have GTX 1080 Ti sometime Vram used : 7-8 Gb i saw max 8

Apparently you need 6Gb VRAM minimum for the texture and audio pack. I was under the impression the game already makes use of a lot of VRAM on the 1080, but I need to double check that.

If you have a standard 1080 it has VRAM of 8Gb.

@Freygea What's your GPU? Windows sometimes lists your VRAM + a certain amount of reserved system RAM, so that number may not be accurate.

It is a gtx 1070
i7 7700 2.80 GHz
16gb ram

Per dxdiag:

Approx total mem 16209 mb
display mem 8081 mb
shared mem 8128

I clicked HD on getting 60 fps in Rattay on very high settings ( running around after main quest completed)

but maybe with a gtx 1070 should just stick with out HD textures?

A 1070 has more than enough VRAM. I've got a 1060 (6GB) and can handle Rattay ~40 fps with the HD textures. I actually got a frame rate increase with the 1.4 patch, others weren't so lucky even with better hardware.
