Fixed that for you lol
I don't think grinding so painfully slowly is necessarily the point of an RPG, balance is also important. Some people want to spend hundreds of hours shooting livestock to get halfway decent, while others want to be a master archer from the outset. I don't mind a grind, and I like to feel like I'm achieving progress, but this really is painfully slow, and it isn't exactly immersive to be shooting livestock for hours lol
It would bother me less if arrows were easier to get, but I can only buy about 60 hunting arrows and 60 better hunting arrows per week and time skipping is painfully slow. It's pretty hard to spot my arrows in tthe forest so I'm burning through them fast and having to consider spending all the money I'm making on higher tier arrows just so I can continue training, but the exp is trickling in at a rate that's slow by runescape standards.
Might try this but it seems risky. Tried to outrun a guard earlier but he chased me down and tackled me, wouldn't want to risk pissing off bandits til I can fight properly or I might not escape. I'm not even sure where to find them yet. The animals I hunt stand still about 10 metres away and it still takes me up to 10 arrows to even hit them, I doubt bandits would hold still so long for me XD
Gather as much meat as you can in short order. Go to the nearest cooking fire and cook it all and sell it. You should have no problem buying more arrows, upgrading your horse and armor then heading back out for more.
Also groups of bandits can be dealt with on horse with the bow. Split them up if you can and take out the archer or the easiest one to get a shot at first. Aim for the face if you can or the weaker armor parts. After a couple shots they flee and you can shoot them running away to finish. Keep track of where the bodies are for some ok loot to sell.
On a side note taking the skill that increases strength for herbalism helps you get better weapons if you pick many herbs. Also savage and woodsman will help with both hunting and bandits.
