When do murder bounties go away? Do they at all?

been waiting for a while, doing side quests while I wait for my bounty in Sasau to go away. Doesn't seem to be though. Not only that, but the Sasau bailiff is following me all over the map trying to arrest me (I know because i have a marker on him for a quest, I see him trying to catch up to me)

Will this murder bounty ever go away? Or should I just serve my time and get it over with?

If your crime has escalated to the point where the bailiff is trying to arrest you, you have only the three options of: Talking your way out of it, paying a fine or bribe, or serving time in jail.

I'd say try waiting an in-game week as far away as possible [which I believe I saw in a loading screen tooltip,] but if the bailiff is actively hunting you, it may be too late.

Yeah, if the icon is jail bars and not a gold coin payment icon, then it doesn't go away.

Anyone figured out a way to get arrested without committing another crime right in front of a guard yet?

Y'know how when you return to a town with a wanted level & the guards just ignore you... That.
