Dove cote treasure missing
So I'm on my second playthrough and I dug up the dove cote where the treasure was in my first playthrough during the prologue. However, when I dug it up it wasn't in there. I figured this was because I hadn't started the quest yet but I have the quest now and it's still not there. I know it's meant to be in this dove cote but I checked the one by the castle just in case and that one just had clothes as well. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Are you sure it's the right dove cote? There are two very close to each other.

Try one house nearer the wall with the open entrance. Although you think you are in the right place it is likely you just need to hop the fence.

I know which one it is because I've gotten the treasure in my first playthrough and googled the solution this time when I didn't find it.

I mean, I did a couple playthroughs and did it a couple times and still accidentally dug up the wrong one on my current playthrough.. It's the one where you have to jump over the fence from that false dovecote. The fact you mentioned going to the other one near the castle suggested you didn't try the other one close by to the one you dug. But who knows, maybe it's actually a bug. You dug up BOTH the ones back there? Not the one near the castle.

I did the same thing. FIrst playthrough went back to skalitz after the quest started. Second playthrough picked it up during the intro. But as of the n ew 1,4 patch i have not started a new session. Previous to that it did work. So could be that they want you to go back after the quest starts...while doing other quests like the "mines" or others around skalitz. Its understandable because there really is no reason to go back there for most of the game unless for a qeust...

I would say it is not a big deal...probably not a bug. just incentive to go back and do it properly as a true RPG would require.

There are three dovecotes south of the market square, one at Kunesh's (and I think, but can't see on the map), that there is another (at least) on the northern side. You want to be south of the green, and closest to the wall.

Kunesh's is demolished and has nothing, and the others in the south only have clothing and trivial items.
