i write this post to help every user in dealing with this broken mess of quest
a lot of people me included find themselves stucked and not finding the last 2 fragments
i will write here the solution
this quest seems broken beacuse 1 of the fragment is hidden in a completely unrelated quest at the beginning of the game as a reward for being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and 2 are not in npc inventory or dialogues choices but are pickable item from the world that you have to find and are estremely easy to miss

so to begin the quest you will have to do 2 things:
-speak to the swordsith in sasau he will give the quest(easiest)
-or find randomly a fragment

when you have the quest you will have to find 5 fragments. the quest hint to you to search to the varius blacksmith
-1 is in Sasau the blacksmith of the monastery very easy to pickpocket(he will refuse to sell it)
-1 is in Ledetchko the blacksmith will sell it for a small amount of money or you can steal it
-1 is in Rattay in the swordsmith house upper floor in a normal chest (not the ultra strong one, it is in one of the classic normal chest easy to steal)

these are the easy to find. let's see the difficult ones
-1 is in talmberg the blacksmith who works in the quarry north of the castle will say to have lost it. it is in his house in talmberg (his house is in front of the bridge and has a dog and a carriage parked in front of it in the street). the fragment will be behind a closed door (the second on the left from the entrance). PAY ATTENTION the fragment is not inside a chest. it is over a barrel as a pickable item from the world
-1 is rattay the balcksith(the normal ones that buy and sell both armor and weapon) that works near the main castle over the archer training facility. his house is immediate near his forge. the fragment will be on the ground floor behind a closed door (pay attention on committing a crime entering). PAY ATTENTION again the fragment will not be in a chest but over a shelf as a pickable item
-1 fragment is in rattay. this is the most absurd. a skalica refugee pickman or something like that will have it. to have it you will have to do 2 things:
1)you will have to make him ick water and not♥♥♥♥♥♥2)you will have to force him offer a reward
if you don't do these step this fragment will be lost forever. you can't pickpocket it or steal ofter knockout/murder

i searched online but i found the solution mentioning that you can easily avoid the pickman fragment only in a german KCD forum
in many other forum/steam discussion i saw a lot of people complaining/fuming about an apparent broken quest
i didin't search on youtube (problem of connection) sadly

Ye, the problem I think everyone has had is the fact that one of the pieces are only recieved or even known about if you demand a reward for another quest. Ony my first playthrough i missed out on this. Even if the sword sucks its nice to complete the quest, get some extra dialogue and add it to your collection. Now if it could only be displayed somewhere.. a room in my own concentric castle comes to mind :)

yeah. a big missing point is the lack of a personal house/castle to use as base and to personalize. i hope in dlc

Im pretty sure alot of people would buy that even at fairly high price, assuming the game is working.

You can find Pickmans part at the Northern blacksmith in Rattay.
Just go to the storage room in his house and the piece is located on a shelf. It's the one to the left, top shelf. A bit hard to see.
