HD Textures and sound packs

For anyone who are unable to download the HD texture (after you click the 'download' button, oddly it starts the game without any download notification, and I still cant enable the HD texture from the menu - it says HD texture DLC is required), here's what you need to do:
1. click the 'download' button. it will start up the game.
2. quit the game.
3. close steam app.
4. restart steam app.
5. in your library menu in your steam app, look for "Kingdom Come: Deliverance"
6. Instead of click play, scroll down to look for a subsection called "DLC"
7. By now, it should display "Kingdom Come Deliverance - HD Texture Pack" - NOT INSTALLED.
8. Uncheck the box on the left side of that, and check it again.
9. The download should initiate automatically in steam app download page.
10. Wait until the download and installation finish.
11. Go into the game. The HD texture should work in the game now. Enable it from the game menu.

The HD textures just slow your game down. Dont bother getting it.

Also, if you are playing an old save with the new patch, your game wont be fixed. You have to start over.

Don’t use these packs, they have been reported to be gamebreaking in many points.

I didn't notice any slow down... Is there some official statment that things in this patch require a new game to be started to be "fixed"?

No, but there is no official statement saying that you dont need to either. With 500 patch changes, its just common sense that old saves are gonna be broken.
