The new so called HD textures pack & HD sound DLC?

I want to know why they have brought this out, because when I clicked on it here in Steam to download it it just loads up the game and when checking in the settings it was on already? From what I've seen on a NZB site I use it's like just over 17Gb too. So it seems it was already pre-installed. Plus looking at my game with this HD textures pack, my graphics don't look any better than what it was before??? the only thing it has done, it has slightly improved my FPS. same goes with the HD sound pack DLC? absolutely no difference at all to what I can here!

Please is their anyone out there that can explain this.

For anyone who are unable to download the HD texture (after you click the 'download' button, oddly it starts the game without any download notification, and I still cant enable the HD texture from the menu - it says HD texture DLC is required), here's what you need to do:
1. click the 'download' button. it will start up the game.
2. quit the game.
3. close steam app.
4. restart steam app.
5. in your library menu in your steam app, look for "Kingdom Come: Deliverance"
6. Instead of click play, scroll down to look for a subsection called "DLC"
7. By now, it should display "Kingdom Come Deliverance - HD Texture Pack" - NOT INSTALLED.
8. Uncheck the box on the left side of that, and check it again.
9. The download should initiate automatically in steam app download page.
10. Wait until the download and installation finish.
11. Go into the game. The HD texture should work in the game now. Enable it from the game menu.

Thanks for that mate, but even though it said it was installed Idid what you said, unchecked then and checked them again and let steam download them again and still no difference? I took screenshots of the HD textures on & off looked at them and I could not see any difference!

So unless I'm doing something wrong or if this HD DLC is intended for lower end graphics cards like the 6,7,8 or 9 series cards I don't knowm, then I don't know what to do to get the game to look even better than it already does!

So is this sugesting we all go 4K and you wont really see it that much at 1080p. I do see some of that, like the details in their faces and on other things but it's just not jumping out at me, if you know what mean. I'm going to get a 4K this year at some point, I just have other things more important to buy.

The HD sound and voice packs are still worth it though. And yeah it takes a while for the dlc to download, you just have to close the game and wait a bit.
