Slow texture load..

I struggle with slow loading textures on buildings, NPCs... well anything. FPS is always below 30, but the darn textures load so slow it ruins immersion. I tried the nexusmod which gave a slight improvement but no solution. My pc is quite decent but its on HDD. Can this be solved by patching or is this an SSD game only?

Even with astral projection speed ssd the game has serious textures issues.

Kingdom Come Deliverance main feature is it's in depth texture loading simulator. Git gud scrub.

I have same problem, i put game folder on SSD and problem solved.

I have the fastest M2 ssd and the textures are loading like turtles. The problem is with game's engine and optimization.

Well witcher 3 runs flawless on HDD on this pc. Was suprised kcd runs so poorly, it doesnt seem superior in graphics over Witcher 3. But thanks for your thougths.

There are user.cfg modifications you can do, but not sure how effective they will be on spinning rust.

I installed an SSD and put KCD on it. All issues regarding texture load are solved. Cheers guys.

Please stop saying "NEED SSD BRO". That's a stupid uneducated response. The game is horribly optimized and that's just a talking point. Im not gunna get into details but its the game. Not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HDD or SSD. If that fixed it for you its either a very rare coincidence, or you are full of ♥♥♥♥ and make up stories to make yourself feel better. I personally assume its the latter. Most of us saw ZERO difference with an SSD. Its now january 2019. The game needs to be fixed. Its a disgrace. Luckily for me, ill play some days and have flawless play without stuttering, like yesterday, (but still horribly slow loading textures), or I can play for example last month where the game was literally unplayable at night in ratty with stuttering and freezing. Unplayable. But yesterday I was in ratty as well and it was flawless. So who the ♥♥♥♥ knows.

Did you read the post?? I was defending you not calling you out. You are the OP. I was talking to people who just say SSD is what you need and disregard our complaints. You had valid complaints in the thread because this game is just horribly put together. Amazing and immersive story and awesome combat and medieval feel, just really dropped the ball on the optimization. Still in love with the game though. Really hope they do something soon, i dont understand why they arent responding or fixing anything.

Ah I see, one can read that post differently. Well lets not dwell on it. I agree, the game runs poorly especially in crowded situations. I wonder though if they can change anything about it, I am no expert on game developing, but I doubt KCD will ever be a smooth experience for current level PCs.

The game runs great for me i had the slow loading textures and I DLed the mod that fixes it and it works 90% of the time and when the texture are being slow they only take about 5 seconds to load and that doesnt happen much. I use an HDD not an SSD just about all of my settings are maxed and I'm always 70fps or above I've noticed this game require a very decent rig to run good. my rig is 1080 gtx msi Vcard 16gb of 3200mhz ram and a i7 7700k cpu, Its all about the hardware man. Alot of the commentors on that mod said the mod made their game run better. Make sure the slow loaded texture fix is being installed correctly the process has a few steps.
