Besmirched - another (like every) bugged quest

I got the money from the charcoal burner and bought the cross from Andrew. I had two options - to turn the quest to Andrew or Adam. I thought I'd just gave the cross to Adam, and turned the quest in to Andrew, got money, quest finished, no option to give the cross to Adam.

Ok. I reload, good thing I am saving like crazy every step in every quest (seriously, plough that saving system, it migth be good, but not for a game in early alpha) and go to Adam after buying the cross. He thanks me, give me some money, does not mention the cross. The journal still says go to Adam or Andrew. I talk to Adam again, but he has no option about the thing any more. Ok, I go to Andrew, marker on him, guess what, he has no option about this quest either. Quest stuck, I'm in manure.

I guess the only option the devs ever did was just to split the money with Andrew, and they never got to testing anything else. If anyone did manage to share with Adam, I'd be happy to hear.

Seriously, next game that studio makes, I'm not buying it until reviews say its bugs are tolerable. I lost a ton of time trying to get broken manure work.

PS I also got the 'buiging purse' from the charcoal burner, what is that thing for?

Welp... Same just happened to me... Quest stuck after giving the stuff back to Adam...

Aaaaand another bug... I just reloaded to the point before I confronted the Tonchek. First time I just beat him up and afterwards he told me where the loot is, but not that Andrew has the cross. This time I picked the option where you tell him you want to buy the cross and he then told me he already sold it to Andrew. Afterwards you can't talk to him anymore, he doesn't tell you where the loot is and all quest markers are gone.

Hi everyone!
This is quite an old thread, but if anyone still has this quest that won’t complete, here’s what happened to me and how I solved it.

My issue:
At the end of the quest, depending on how you handled it, you can go back to Adam and return his loot.
He then offers you a reward.
You can either tell him you did everything alone or that you had someone’s help.
If you choose the latter, he will give you a higher reward, but the quest will never get the “Completed” status.

In my case, I still had two active objectives:

1. The first was to check if Andrew’s intel was legit and, if so, give him a reward.
   
2. The second was an optional objective: returning Adam’s stolen goods.

Neither Adam nor Andrew had any dialogue options related to this quest, so I was stuck.

How I solved it:
To fix this, I followed this Reddit thread.
It’s well explained in the Reddit post and on the Nexus page:

1. Download the mod and extract it into a new "Mods" folder in the KCD install directory.
   
2. Launch the game.
   
3. Open the console using "~" on a QWERTY keyboard or "²" on an AZERTY keyboard (my case).
   
4. Find your quest name and quest objective as explained in the Reddit thread.
   
5. Execute the quest_complete_objective command.

In my case, I had to execute both of the following commands:

cheat_eval cheat:quest_complete_objective("q_colliers","returnStolenThingsToAdamOptional", true)

for the optionnal one.

cheat_eval cheat:quest_complete_objective("q_colliers","returnToAdamWithMoney", true)

for the main objective

I had to do this to recruit Adam for the Pribyslavitz DLC.

After using the console to complete the quest, I saved and exited the game, deleted the "Mods" folder, relaunched the game, and everything was fine.
Even the achievements worked perfectly.

Was this still an issue? I know it bugged on me the first time playing it. As I'm also replaying now, I'll check if it really gave me an issue.

Edit: there was also a third option with giving the stuff back to Adam, that I wanted to help an neighbour from Skalitz out. I chose that one, which also concluded the quest.
