Do lighter bows draw faster?

I'm on my second playthrough now and I've noticed that Hans Capon's hunting bow seems to draw significantly faster than the elm longbow I had at the end of the game. Am I imagining it or is this a thing?

True;) not sure of the details but villager bow (those cheapest ones) draws the fastest where as longbows slower. But longbow has greater range and damage output plus arrows drop slower (fly straigher line) and fly faster (this about speed i think, and did not test it).

All of them are slow. It doesnt take that long to draw a bow. Speed it up, archery is dog turd in this game.
