I think it's weird there's no Bow perks. I guess because weapon perks are supposed to be those useless combos, and they couldn't think up anything equally worthless for Bows and Unarmed. shrug.
Anytime an NPC "teaches you something" it's just an increase to the relevant skill EXP, sometimes it's not enough to actually give you a level.
There are no bow skills and I couldn't say for sure what increasing the skill actually does besides increasing the damage you can do with a bow. It might make things less "shaky" as well, but I can't confirm it.
melee combos are hardly useless, it's reward damage for properly using them. I've used them regularly against anyone who isn't a barely dressed 'ruffian'.
Somewhere around 10 or 12 there's also a target zoom-in which increases a little bit each level as well. It's pretty robust at level 20.
Literally everyone. You get to a point in the game fairly fast where you utterly destroy and rape anyone who even looks at you funny. For instance, I saved my game, then proceeded to kill every single person in every single town (excluding the NPCs that can't die), just to see if I could, and I maybe got hit once or twice?
Gonna finish this playthrough then wait for mods that make the combat more difficult, or at the least, give opponents more health, before I go at it again.
So going from level 100, to fighting level 5s'. Nice~
