I tried both Bane and Poison on multiple camps as well. Same outcome unfortunately.

^^ That... Poison does small amount of damage to health...

Bane... -110... drop that into some food and kill anyone that eats it...

I will admit this is all conjecture, but:

1. Supposedly you may have to wait in real time, not by skipping time.
2. Poison itself might not actually kill enemies. Its -50 health. A bane potion is probably far more effective. Also note, -50 health to enemies would make them significantly easier.

Don't use wait. Add the poison and move away. Seems to trigger them to go eat soon after the poison is added. Had guy wake up, eat and then go back to bed after adding Lullaby to the pot.

It worked for me. Actually killed 2 of them including the main target. Most likely they would eat in the morning, and at the noon. Plan your poison accordingly. I noticed when you go too far away, the poison can disappear. So you have to wait nearby. When someone eats poisoned food all camp goes on high alert. In the worst case, you would poison only 1 man.

I concur that you have to stay and witness the poison to have effect. I used lullaby for a nightwatchman in the hangman's quest. [He circles the camp and constantly eats, leading me to believe this was what was expected.]

Dropping the poison in and returning later, there was no change.
That it let me drop another potion in tells me the pot reset when I went too far away.
The second time, he got up from the far side of camp, ate, then returned to where he was and lay down in the grass. Easy as pie.

Bane poison is definitely better than the regular stuff. (There's even a slight change in dialogue when you use it in that same executioner's quest.)

Does the Witch Potion do anything to NPCs, or just the player? I've tried dropping that into campfire food, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
Can you load a camp with Shnapps and get them all blind stinking drunk, like put 3 Shnapps in each pot? Since it takes some time to take effect you could probably get allot of people.

Nothing noticeable. I tested it in Rate on civilians and guards who eat food in the south castle.

Far as i can tell putting the witches potion in food does nothing at all, (after all it does say to smear it on the skin in the mission.)

Put it on your sword and it makes people flee it seems, which gets annoying quickly.
