That said, it has not yet unlocked for me and all my villages are between 81 and 100.
all towns + villages + THE MONASTERY to be exact. Maybe try looking it up in the Achievement Guide, if you have problems? Lots been explained there already and if not there are a lot of helpfull people in the disscussion
As beeing said already: no just 80+ in all "normal" towns & villages, and a good way is haggeling (but giving them more money instead of less) and doing quests.
You need 10 Towns to be 80+ in their summary rating for you. So Talmberg at 84 total with villagers at 100 and soldiers at 60ish counts.
The thing is that 10 happens to be the count of all locations you have some influence over.
Except for the monastery, which you can influence only during the monk quest, you can gain favor doing quests, helping random encounters, etc.
Also, if you help somebody who is attacked by a bandit, their rep will go up. This fact is used to gain favor with Merhojed Soldiers. They spawn in random encounters fighting bandits and cumans on the road triangle between samopesh, inn in the glade and merhojed. Help them during their fights and eventually your rep goes up.
Or you cheat a bit. The conditions to gain each achievement are tied to statistic numbers that you can influence with mods, if you're so inclined, and the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you out of an achievement because of glitches.
That's not even mentioning my first playthrough where for no reason my rep in Uzhitz was locked at -20 for no reason at all... Bugs. So. Many. Bugs.
The game's a shambles.
I dont know what you did wrong, man :S
i only paid the Inn keeper and the vendor at the place in front, and got it to 83+ no problem... i did it on the current patch (1.3) and had to buy & quest it up from 59. Just for reference.
In playline 1, while stuck at -20 I did the witchy quest several times & tried all the possible outcomes - none affected the rep. I started experimenting & made a bizarre discovery; In the morning when the women were dead, I picked up Vera's corpse & carried it back to town to see what happened. I got arrested, agreed to imprisonment, did a week in the pokey & came out with rep at +12! WTF?
In playline 2 (post patch, rep in Uz at 72) I did the witchy quest several times with all outcomes to see what the differences to rep were - There is no difference at all, whether the men die, the women die, or nobody dies. I tried the Vera-corpse-lugging again, went to pokey again & rep went down to 20 (can I get a reeee-load) which is basically the opposite of the first time.
The game's a shambles.
I had a wee think about what I might have done to annoy them, since I haven't been there in days (game days), and I hadn't stolen anything, attacked anyone, killed anyone or even done any trespassing. All I could come up with was I sold some rotten food to a trader, just to clear my inv, but that doesn't affect rep.
Oh! I worked it out... The game's a half finished shambles.
I'm about to enter monestary but chose to finish a bunch of the side-quests, however nothing in Samopesh for me to do. Any advice anyone?
I will say though for Uzitiz I did all sidequests aside from the Witch Hunt. I got it to 100 but it was stuck at 78 until I slept and rested for a couple of days and saw changes from 78 to 100. The Pie quest being the last major quest I did in that town.
As for places like Samopesh where I still have no prompt for a quest being there or any events such as catching a thief...or aiding the guards(of that respected village) from bandits or even the Traders though I believe they are completely unifiliated with any town. So I'm still testing what rep changes happen when it comes to bartering with all merchants/innkeepers/maids...in any given town. But I will endeavor to find something conclusive that will help others figure out the rep system better.
