How can there be no Pause?
In what universe do people live where they can play a game with twenty or thirty minutes of cut scenes and interactive dialog in a row without a pause button? Coupled with a stingy save system that forces you to completely restart from a save that can be twenty or thirty minutes old just because the phone rang? Seriously?

I get you don't want people pausing when the timer is going to pick a dialog option, but why can't there be a simple pause during the rest of the time when someone is speaking or during a cut scene?

Such a simple omission that makes the game unplayable for people who are not locked in a dungeon while playing.

Had the story been more compelling, I would have been more annoyed at the lack of pausable cut-scenes (yes, it IS in fact a thing that is really common in most games). As it is, if the phone rings or I have to go take a dump I'll just mute the sound, do whatever I have to do and come back when the cut-scene is over since I can read about my new objectives under "quests" anyway.

Right.. you tattled, big man. I already told you I have 0 ♥♥♥♥♥ to give. You accomplish nothing in doing that.

I'm hostile to repeated idiocy. And you appear to be on the receiving end...

Should have left the daft entitled OP to take it all. Nah you had to double down on stupid for them instead. GG

I'm defending a feature I think would be a nice addition. But hey, if you want to keep living in the Atari days, and refuse to awknowledge that modern day features in a game can be useful, cool. On you.

Your inventory pauses the game I believe

Yeah but you can't use it during cutscenes, which is where a pause feature would be nice. So if your phone rings or your dog wants to go take a crap, you don't end up missing a cutscene.

There was less mooks in those days, that would state such asinine things as "This game is unplayable, because you cannot pause during a cinematic.". What a croc of :shit: this thread is. :steamfacepalm:There's real issues with the game. This is just some nancy boy BS whining...

Sad to say though I never owned a Delorean, and they are hard to come by today.Substitues just won't cut it either...[www.indy100.com] ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ignore it.

Obviously you don't have kids.

most cutscenes are under one minute...though there are extensive dialogue options but these are "paused" anyways...you can leave them open for however long you want...i constantly do this to attend whatever i need to do and come back later...it does not affect anything...

there are some rare timed decision making choices but these are made within seconds...honestly if you have emergencies that require response in seconds, then you shouldnt be playing games in the first place...

can i know that 30 min cutscene? O_o
You wont, its just more adults acting like children and using their 'busy lives' as the crutch.
Like adults dont know how to plan their time accordingly.
Just more man-child tantrum throwing to see how far the pettiness bar can be lowered, nothing to see here.

i am trying to think of any game that has a pause during cutscene option, most games have a skip option and so does this. But pause? really? of all the things to complain about if your so bothered by the length of a cutcscene skip it.

These discussion dont need to be a rush to the bottom, a pause feature on cutscenes would be nice.

Nope nor did I claim otherwise. Though if one chooses to have kids, and has to tend to them at the drop of a hat. Perhaps an immersive story based game is not one to play at that time. Seems like it would not have ones full attention anyways, unless at the detriment of said children otherwise.

I will agree it's exaggerated. It's far from unplayable. BUT it is also true to say that a feature like pausing during a cutscene is not an unreasonable request, and it would save a lot of headache if something comes up. I can't very well ignore it if someone comes over or if my dog is telling me he needs to go outside.

Things happen. Let us reverse the question. What HARM does being able to pause during a cutscene do?
I would counter it is however unreasonable to call the format used to approach the topic a "request".

You can yell "just a minute" for the door, they just showed up so they are on your time. You could just not answer even in many cases.

..and well your call on making the dog wait. I probably would not want to deal with the fallout from that decsion if you do. Cut scenes suddnely less important all together then IMO.

Well i do agree with OP. I love the story and i missed some of these cutscene's because of real life issues.

Just tab out, last time I checked that paused the cutscences.

On a personal note: I don't get why people make themselves slaves to their phones. If it is important it will ring again, also you can call back later. The world won't stop spinning if you don't pick up your phone.

Thanks i will try that.

My personal note: My calls need to be answer right away. I lose money everytime when i cancel call...

This is the only game I see people complain you cannot pause in a cut scene. Since when is that the standard? That is not normal. Why would anyone expect this? The save system is great and far fro a new concept beyond that. Tried tested and true rather. Perhaps you should stick to games tagged walking simulator if you cannot handle the smallest amount of challenge. This is no way at all what so ever makes the game unplayable. Your just using buzzwords where that do not fit at all there. Especially when there are legitimate game breaking bugs in the game.

TL;DR

Git gud! Do you want some cheese with that whine?
